Senior HR & Payroll Staff Writer (SPHR / CPP)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR practitioner or certified writer (SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or CPP) to produce authoritative guides on small business hiring, payroll processing, benefits compliance, and workplace policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Write in-depth, original reviews of top HR and payroll platforms (e.g. Gusto, Rippling, BambooHR)
• Build and audit downloadable HR forms, disciplinary templates, and employee handbook policies
• Conduct hands-on software tests to evaluate user experience, tax automation, and customer support
• Collaborate with Senior Editors to maintain our stringent E-E-A-T editorial credibility guidelines

What You Bring to the Team

• 5+ years of hands-on human resources, talent management, or payroll experience
• Active SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, or CPP certification preferred
• Superb written communication with the ability to explain complex labor laws simply
• Proven portfolio of published digital articles or editorial guides
