1. How We Make Money
BizGuide Review is an independently owned small business publication. To support our full-time editorial staff, licensed CPA reviewers, software testing labs, and free template repositories without charging paywalls or subscription fees, we utilize affiliate partnerships and sponsored placements.
2. How Affiliate Links Work
When you click on an outbound button or text link pointing to a software vendor (e.g. Gusto, QuickBooks, Square, HubSpot, or Bluehost) through our tracking links (such as /go/{product}), we may receive a referral commission or marketing fee from that vendor if you proceed to open an account or purchase a subscription.
Crucially: Using our affiliate links never incurs additional costs to you. In fact, our partnerships frequently allow us to negotiate exclusive introductory discounts (e.g. "50% off your first 3 months" or extended 30-day free trials) for BizGuide Review readers.
3. Does Compensation Influence Our Ratings?
No. Our editorial ratings, pros/cons, and software awards (such as "Best Overall", "Best for Solopreneurs", "Editor's Choice") are strictly determined by our research methodology. Our authors and fact-checkers are paid salaries and freelance stipends that are completely detached from whether a product generates affiliate revenue or not.
If a product is substandard, clunky, or overpriced, our writers will say so plainly regardless of any existing marketing relationship.
4. Display Advertising & Sponsored Content
From time to time, we may host display banner advertisements or clearly demarcated sponsored articles. Any sponsored content is clearly tagged with a "Sponsored" or "Promoted" label at the top of the page so readers can easily distinguish it from organic editorial guides.
